East L.A Community comes together to raise funds for Steven Cruz

Steven Cruz 14-year-old high school student was fatally stabbed on Jan. 23,

outside Griffith Middle School in East Los Angeles.

On Saturday, two separate fundraisers – one was at So-Cal Burgers on Mednik Avenue in East L.A and the other at the Boys and Girls Club on McDonnell – were held for Cruz’s family.

The fundraiser at So-Cal Burgers was put together by the Garfield Alumni Foundation sponsored by PrintnBanner , Uncle Bucks Party Rentals, Terpening Insurance Agency , Manuel Davila Merit Realty Group ,  Tony Gomez of  So-Cal Burgers  , www.eastla.com

Louie Moreno helped out by being the Emcee & Art Montanez “DJ Enchantment” provided music.

Today, a funeral was held at St. Alfonso Catholic Church East Los Angeles before he was buried at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier
