Boyle Heights has lost one of its pillars of the community on Sunday January 17, 2016, Sports Commentator Louie Moreno. He started covering High School sports with another good friend of the community Rico Cabrera Sr. on the “East L.A. Sports Scene”. He then went on his own by 1995-96 and created the “Sports Wrap-Up” pointing out the athletes of the game and hosting post game interviews on field. I took this picture of Louie & his daughter after the East Los Angeles Classic in 2010. Rest in Peace brother Louie Moreno.
