East Side Spirit and Pride is proud to announce college football’s 1965 Heisman Trophy winner, Mike Garrett as Guest Speaker at this year’s fundraising event. Raised in East Los Angeles, Mr. Garrett is the newly appointed Executive Director for Athletics at California State University, Los Angeles. Also being honored with the ELAC alumnus “Celebrate Me Home” award will be Paul Gonzales, the 1984 Olympic boxing gold medalist. Proceeds from this event will benefit the students of East Los Angeles College.

East Side Spirit and Pride assists students of East Los Angeles College to satisfactorily realize their full potential in successfully transferring to four-year universities of their choice and richer, more successful lives. The dinner will start at 6pm in the Golden Eagle ballroom. The ballroom is located in the center of the Cal State LA campus (Golden Eagle building) on the third floor. Parking will be in Parking Lot C.
