On behalf of Wilson’s athletic teams, Arlin Slayton (Wilson ’96) and Tony Contreras (Wilson ’88), owners of CyclePath Magazine, and sponsors of the Wilson Car Show, both HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK!
The OUR TOWN Car Show and Concert was a HUGE success. Everyone in attendance had a great time and much needed funds were raised to benefit Wilson High School’s athletic programs. Many beautiful trophies were awarded to many well deserving show cars, motorcycles and bicycles. But the real champions of the day were Tony and Arlin. What they managed to pull off against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, is truly the definition of Wilson spirit, pride and determination. At the end of the day there were no trophies, plaques or ribbons for Tony and Arlin. Instead they get to go home with something far more valuable, a tremendous amount of gratitude, respect and admiration from Wilson’s athletes, their coaches, Wilson administrators, and decades of appreciative Wilson alumni.
THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS Tony and Arlin! You’ve done yourselves proud, and in doing so, brought great pride upon all of Wilson High School.
