It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our beloved coaches Gustavo Ruiz. Coach Gus served the youth in our community for over 15 years. He coached with the East L.A. Bobcats, East L.A. Bulldogs & the Bell Gardens Lancers. Coach Gus was such a great individual and was loved so dearly by everyone. His dedication and compassion was admired by all. His unselfless love for coaching the kids of several communities and making a difference in their lives compares to no other and leaves an everlasting impression on the hearts of the countless kids he coached and the many volunteers which had the pleasure of working with him both on and off the field. There is nothing stronger than the heart of a volunteer! The heart of this great man will truly be missed but we will find comfort in carrying forward with the beautiful example he has gifted us. Our hearts go out to his wife Stacy, his daughter Zoey, and the rest of the Ruiz family. Coach Gus will greatly be missed. Our communities mourn his absence but we take comfort in knowing we are stronger because of him. God bless you, our friend! RIP 🙏🏽🏈🙏🏽🏈
