The Roosevelt Lady Riders flag football team will open up the 2024 season today at 2:30pm as they hit the road and travel to Venice High School. The 2023 inaugural season had its tuff obstacles for the Lady Riders when just a few games into the start of the season the team was in search for a new coach. As the season would be in jeopardy if the team could not replace previous coach, Mr Pimental who coaches girls varsity soccer stepped in with no hesitation along with help from assistant coach/manager Jessica B who helped out in many ways.

Coach Pimental had to start from scratch and draw up plays and teach the girls the fundamentals of this new sport. The Lady Riders recorded a 4-11 season and were victorious over rival Garfield High School 12-6 at East L.A College. The Lady Riders ended the season with a 30-6 loss in the division I playoffs vs  GALA Goddesses (Girls Academic Leadership Academy)

The Lady Riders will have to endure a tough task while all games will be played on the road this season due to football field being under construction.

This offseason Head Coach Pimental and assistant coach Mario Perez have been working hard to get these girls conditioned and ready for the season.
