The senior helped the Huskies win the La Mirada tournament. Gallegos was dominant in the circle and at the plate during their 4-0 semifinal win over California and 7-4 win over Tesoro to win the championship. In their win over Cal, Gallegos pitched a two-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts while also contributing a hit and an RBI. In the final against Tesoro, she pitched another complete game and went 2 for 3 at the plate with a double and two RBIs.

SOUTH HILLS (10-1-1)
The Huskies return to the top spot in the SGV rankings after winning the La Mirada tournament this past weekend. They beat Cal 4-0 and followed with an impressive victory over Tesoro 8-6 in the championship game. Who knows if the Huskies can pitch with the elite teams in CIF-SS Division 1, but they can hit with any of them.
