L.A Wilson entered their tilt with Roosevelt on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they’ll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Rough Riders 52-6. The Mules might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.
Anniyah Huteson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 324 yards and six touchdowns, while also rushing for 40 yards and one score. She also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making one tackle and defending one pass in addition to snagging two interceptions. 105 of Huteson’s passing yards were hauled in by Samantha Escarcega, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.
Wilson didn’t go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Huteson led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.
Wilson’s win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Coming up, Wilson will square off against Alhambra at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Roosevelt, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 21-0 victory against Maywood CES on the 15th.
