During the March 2026 LA Marathon,thousands of Students Run LA (SRLA) members faced dangerously high temperatures reaching the high 80s and low 90s °F, particularly in the later, sun-exposed stretches. To combat the heat, organizers offered a, voluntary, “early finish” option at Mile 18, allowing runners to collect medals.
