First ever Comic Con in East LA attracts big crowds

The 1st ever  Comic Con in East LA was held May 20th at the El Gallo Plaza in East Los Angeles CA

The EAST LA Comic Con was founded in 2016 by a group of life long comic and pop culture fans who grew up and live in East Los Angeles. Headed by Peter J Mellini, owner of Nostalgic Books and Comics in San Gabriel CA, this first of its kind show is dedicated to bringing an epic pop culture experience for all that reflects the fans of the surrounding communities.

Wow!! You guys really came out in full force! We had over 3,000 people come out to make the first ever East LA Comic Con a rousing success!! We are blown away by the response and want to thank everyone who helped shatter everyone’s exceptions! We want to thank all the sponsors, volunteers, vendors and of course the attendees! You all made this possible. Yesterday proved that something like that was always possible in East LA and was just waiting for someone to do it! We are loving all the happiness and positivity everyone is sharing about the event and we will definitely being doing more in the future!. Thank you everyone.
