Altars were set up around Mariachi Plaza to honor and celebrate Black lives.
Friday’s Juneteenth Vigil was organized by
Roosevelt High School Alumni for Black Lives Matter.
The collective is made up of former Roosevelt High School students, educators and community members/activists.
